Birthdays for March 14-20

Featuring Lily Collins, Eva Longoria, Ursula Andress, Holly Hunter, Lesley-Anne Down, and more!

We promised a busy week on the birthday front, and we've had our coffee, so let's get to it! Sasha Grey starts us off on March 14 with a lengthy scene from the 2014 thriller Open Windows. Next, Megan Follows has had a few scenes over the years, but none more famous than her 1982 appearance as a kidnapped teen on The Littlest Hobo.

Also on the 14th, Grace Park had a special knack for getting into trouble on the reboot of Hawaii Five-0, with "Mai ho'oni i ka wai lana mâlie" as a high point. (We don't speak Hawaiian but suspect that it translates as "You're really going to regret leaving that scalpel within reach.")

Speaking of "constantly in trouble," Kim Raver has a half-dozen mentions in Brian's database from 24 alone, which we can appreciate even if none were truly hall-of-fame material. Eva Longoria shares the 15th and wins tonight's coveted comedy award for her sexy little scene on Desperate Housewives.

March 16 belongs to Sienna Guillory, and if forced to pick just one of her scenes, we'll go with the undeniable aesthetic appeal of The Big Bang.

Lesley-Anne Down's birthday on March 17 gave us this week's "Well, we really shouldn't be missing that" moment, so here's a brand new HD edit of her close call with a plastic bag in You Belong to Me. Sharing the day is Natalie Zea, who's been tied and cleave gagged in a couple short scenes, including one from The Detour.

The 17th continues with a 45th birthday for Brittany Daniel, whom you may well remember from a certain stalker storyline on Sweet Valley High—though if you're like us, you might not remember whether it was her character or her twin sister Cynthia's who got grabbed first. (It was totally Cynthia's.) Olesya Rulin is exactly ten years younger, and once upon a time on SEAL Team, her character got stuff gagged and wired to a bomb.

March 18 is another busy day that kicks off with a pair of actresses who hit our DiD radar with 2011 films: Danneel Ackles in The Roommate, and Lily Collins in Abducted. Then there's Sophia Myles, whose character once managed a pretty cool escape while gagged and tied to a pipe in a scene from Spooks. And finally we have Cindy Busby, who shared a dramatic scene with Donna Benedicto in The Killer Downstairs.

March 19 brings us Ursula Andress, whose memorable scenes include Red Sun...and here we'd just like to pause and point out that hero of that movie rescues her character from the leather strap around her neck that's been slowly strangling her by shooting it off. How great (and ridiculous) is that?

The 19th also marks a 45th birthday for Rachel Blanchard, best known to DiD fans for the 2010 (not 1987!) thriller Open House, and Virginia Williams, who wants in on that comedy award for Revenge of the Bridesmaids. Fair enough.

We end the week on March 20 with the one and only Holly Hunter, whose scene in The Big White is iconic enough that we chose it for this feature's banner image. Have a great weekend!
