Welcome, bobperson!

As some of our subscribers may know, there's a fellow who has been doing highly impressive upscaling work on the classic scenes that are dear to our hearts. He has been kind enough to allow us to share his work (which is also on YouTube) after a standard grace period, but there's even more where that came from. We encourage you to visit his Ko-Fi site for exclusive 4K downloads of his latest upscales. Have fun!

Remembering Dawn Wells

So long, Mary Ann.

raffish

Not content to slink off into ignominy, 2020 just had to get a few last licks in, and yesterday we were saddened to learn that actress, teacher, and philanthropist Dawn Wells has passed away from COVID-19 complications at the age of 82. Her most famous role, of course, was as Mary Ann Summers in Gilligan's Island—and who can deny that she provided the spark which turned a certain so-so, mixed-company pole tie in the first-season episode "How to Be a Hero" into one of those classic scenes that almost every DiD fan knows?

In memory of Ms. Wells, we're also releasing a new (though low-resolution) edit of her OTM gag scene in the 77 Sunset Strip episode "The Inverness Cape Caper." She actually appeared on the show four times across a couple dozen episodes, playing a completely different guest character each time, but it wasn't until her final appearance as Connie Kenwood that she gave us this little gem.
